I am a proven advocate who knows how to stand up for what our community needs and ensure we get it. Throughout my career, I have navigated complex systems and high-stakes environments to deliver results. I know how to get things done. Whether fighting for housing stability, social justice, or local resources, I bring the tenacity and strategic experience required to be an effective voice for Beaches-East York in Ottawa.

For over 22 years, I have been a tireless champion for my clients and students. Currently, as the Senior Advisor to the Commissioner of Housing Equity (OCHE), I support tenants within Toronto’s largest social housing provider to avoid eviction and maintain successful tenancies. My commitment to systemic fairness runs deep; I was a member of the inaugural team that created the OCHE in 2014, a vital office established to protect vulnerable tenants and ensure administrative accountability.

Why I Am Stepping Forward

Throughout my professional life, I have seen how federal policy impacts us on our doorstep. I am seeking the Federal Liberal nomination because I feel a profound obligation to stand up for our country and serve on a larger scale. While I am proud of the difference I make as a social worker and as a part-time professor at Centennial College. I am ready to apply my expertise in policy and my skills in mediation to shape the national decisions that impact our daily lives. I am running because I want a broader reach.

My Commitment to Beaches-East York

As your Member of Parliament, I will be a relentless champion for our riding. I will use my experience as a trained Family Mediator and my education as a Master of Social Work in Policy, Organization and Community Development to bridge divides and seek the collaboration necessary for significant achievements. I will ensure Beaches-East York receives the federal attention and investment it deserves, focusing on housing affordability, climate resilience, and inclusive community support.

Deep Roots in Our Community

Beaches-East York is my home. For more than a decade, I have lived, worked, and volunteered here, building deep roots through a firm commitment to our shared future. Through my work with the Toronto Beaches Lions Club, 100 Women Who Care Toronto East, and the Beach Hill Neighbourhood Association, I have seen first hand that our community is at its strongest when we work together.

A Vision for Our Future

We have been fortunate to be well-served by Nate Erskine-Smith. Our next MP will face new, complex challenges in a rapidly changing world. We need a representative with the real-life experience to bring people together, locally and nationally, across party lines.
